Residents of the neighborhood of El Triángulo, in the town of Quimilí, province of Santiago del Estero, are still in mourning. On Tuesday night they found an abandoned child in a garbage container near a house.
The inconsolable cries of the creature attracted the attention of several passers-by who at first did not know who the child was, and gathered together until they confirmed it.
They immediately notified the Police by calling the emergency number 911, and a few minutes later a mobile phone was present with members of the Children’s and Women’s Police Station No. 9, who was in charge of covering him up and calling for an ambulance to transport him. to Dr. Bernardo Houssay Regional Hospital in Chimili.
After routine examinations in which the child was found to be severely dehydrated and it was determined that he was about ten days old, the doctors decided to transfer him to the Eva Perón Provincial Center for Child Health (CEPSI) to be admitted to a new childhood .
At the same time, the police began an investigation to find those responsible for the minor, from where they went to the house located meters from where the discovery took place.
They then interviewed 25-year-old Orlando Sayago, who confirmed that his sister, Estefanía Sayago, was admitted to the Regional Hospital due to a postpartum infection, and that her newborn was left at home from February 28, the date of birth, to until March. 4, when her sister returned to the hospital.
