A 20-year-old young woman was stabbed this morning (Thursday) on Aliya Street in the city. She was taken to the hospital by MDA teams during CPR, where she was pronounced dead. The victim was in advanced pregnancy, the fetus in her womb did not survive. The police arrested two family members from the Bedouin diaspora and Lod On suspicion of involvement in the murder. According to the police, the two suspects are relatives of the murdered woman.
The hospital said: “A young woman in her 20s from Lod, in advanced pregnancy, came to the emergency department with multiple stab wounds. The medical teams fought for her life, an emergency caesarean section was performed in an attempt to save the fetus – but unfortunately, in the end, they had to pronounce her dead.”
MDA paramedics Bnei Joseph and Liad Time.news and MDA emergency medicine medic Shimon Paresh said: “When we arrived at the scene, there was a lot of commotion around the injured woman who was lying unconscious and suffering from penetrating injuries to her body. We immediately gave her medical treatment and began to perform advanced resuscitation operations on her which included Massages and breathing, we put her in the intensive care unit and quickly evacuated her to the hospital while continuing to perform CPR as her condition is critical.”
Following the murder, the Avraham Initiatives Association informed that 222 Arabs took their own lives in 2023. “This is in circumstances related to violence and crime, in the corresponding period last year there were 103 victims,” the association said.
