A 22-year-old woman was killed by police overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). The young woman was in a car driven by a man, who was injured by the shots.

According to our information, the police intervention took place within the framework of an anti-drug operation. The vehicle reportedly attempted to flee as police attempted to intercept the vehicle. The shooting took place near the ring road, not far from the road to Lorient, reports West France.

Members of the Rapid Intervention Brigade would then have fired on the vehicle, injuring the driver. According to RMC, the passenger was killed by ricochet. The radio said a policeman was also injured. The IGPN has been seized.
