When they arrived, they heard screams and cries for help. By the time they entered the house, it was already too late. Friday March 10, the gendarmes could not avoid the death of a 28-year-old woman, killed by several stab wounds in her pavilion in Dinan-Léhon, in the Côtes-d’Armor. According to the public prosecutor of Saint-Malo, the victim was alive but seriously injured when the gendarmes arrived. The latter had to use an electric pulse gun to “force the attacker to let go of the victim” whom she was holding at arm’s length. The young woman died a few minutes later, “despite the first aid given by the gendarmes”, specifies the prosecutor Fabrice Tremel, who went on the spot.

The assailant was brought under control and arrested, as revealed West France. Placed in police custody, she should be presented to an examining magistrate this Sunday and indicted for intentional homicide of a concubine. According to the first elements of the investigation, the suspect “shared the life of the victim for about two months”.

The victim’s child was present

A 5-year-old child, son of the victim, was present at the home on the evening of the tragedy. “Several witnesses describe a first scene of violence which the victim’s son allegedly witnessed, before he was taken to safety outside the house by one of them. The attack would have continued inside the house in which the respondent had taken refuge with the victim”. The child was taken care of by a specialized service at the Saint-Malo hospital (Ille-et-Vilaine).

The autopsy confirmed that the 28-year-old woman had suffered serious injuries committed “with a sharp object”, in particular at the level of the thorax, a forearm and the neck. The investigation was entrusted to the research brigade of the Dinan gendarmerie.
