by time news

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit central Turkey a short time ago (Saturday), the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

The country, which has experienced several earthquakes in recent weeks, the last of which last Monday with a magnitude of 6.3 claimed the lives of six people and injured around 300, is still continuing to help the victims of the earthquakes that happened about two weeks ago.

As a reminder, the strong earthquake that occurred at the beginning of this month (February 6) with a magnitude of 7.8 in southern Turkey, west of the city of Gaziantep, caused more than 41 thousand deaths in the country and another 4,000 who were killed in Syria. The earthquake was also well felt in Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Cyprus and Egypt.
