The intensive care team of the ‘Ihud Hatzla’ was called a short time ago (Tuesday) to treat and perform CPR on a 60-year-old man who lost consciousness while leaving the city of Oman in Ukraine. The drivers provided him with medical aid and at the end of the resuscitation efforts, they had no choice but to determine his death.

Mathes Shapira, head of the ‘Ihud Hatzala’ branch in Uman, said: “We arrived at the scene with ambulances and the team of the Ihud Hatzala intensive care unit, and with the help of a doctor from the Uman clinic, we performed prolonged CPR on him in an attempt to save his life. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene at the end of the resuscitation efforts.”

Aharon Ben Harosh, deputy head of the ‘Ihud Hatzla’ branch in Uman, reported from the scene: “This is a sad case after the Rosh Hashanah events in Uman. Now we are working with the help of businessmen in Breslav to fly his body to Israel.”
