Friday, late in the afternoon, the said client, a business manager from Malaysia who had arrived the day before in Paris for tourism, went to the police station to file a complaint. According to her testimony, her ring had disappeared in the morning, while she had gone to the beautiful districts of Paris to go shopping. It was when returning from her tourist getaway, around 11:30 a.m., that she noticed the disappearance of her ring, left on a table in her room.
