More than 150 competitors in different age groups and disciplines will test their strength from Friday (October 27) to Sunday at the Trakiets horse base in the village of Zhitnitsa.
The event is awaited with great interest by riders and spectators and is sure to be very interesting over the three days of the event.
BGN 16,000 will be the prize fund, which will be distributed in the individual trials. Parkour master will be Lukasz Shutrowski from Poland, who is an international judge – 2 level with over 10 years of experience.
“Zhytnitsa” Cup is not just a tournament, it is a celebration. A holiday for horse sports, a holiday for the village, the inhabitants of Zhitnitsa and for the guests.
During the three days, an extremely contested competition is expected, in which the competitors are divided into several rounds – “bronze” with obstacles up to 115 cm.; “silver” with obstacles up to 125 cm and “gold” with a height of up to 140 cm.
Categories are also prepared for children and pony riders, as well as for young 4-5 year old horses.
The most interesting part for the public will be on Saturday around 1 pm, when they will be able to watch the attractive carnival – horses and riders in costumes will jump on the arena, and the most attractive of them will be awarded.
On Sunday, 18 tandems with the best riders from Bulgaria will take part in the Grand Prix with a height of 140 cm, and the one who performs best in the three competition days will win the “Zhytnitsa” cup.
“I invite everyone who loves horses and equestrian sports to join our celebration from September 27 to 29, from Friday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the horse base in Zhitnitsa. Entry for spectators is free,” said Anna Gocheva – main organizer of the tournament.
