The Blue Checkmark option for Twitter users under the Blue Subscription was rolled out for iOS users only. Apart from the blue checkmark, the new Twitter Blue subscription also offers early access to new features. Currently, the new Blue subscription system is being offered in countries like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and London.
The initial price for Twitter Blue subscription is $7.99 per month. It is also mentioned as an introductory offer. Existing Twitter Blue subscribers on iOS will receive a blue checkmark if they update to the new price.
Android and web users can cancel their Blue subscription themselves. Instead, the service will be canceled after informing users on Twitter’s side. The new changes have two blue checkmarks under the old Twitter rules, the VERIFIED blue checkmark and the new blue subscription under the blue checkmark.
Accounts that have received a blue checkmark under the Twitter Blue subscription will not be subject to any action as to whether they have followed the new Twitter rules, the company said.
