At the same time, as the students of Kuniyamuthar Government School are having difficulty crossing the road, Deputy Mayor Vethichelvan requested that the iron footbridge at the bus stop be removed and placed in front of the school to make it useful. As the number of people using the iron footbridge is increasing, it has been decided to replace it and 35 lakhs, 60 thousand rupees have been allocated. When replacing the iron footbridge in front of the government school, stairs should be constructed so that the students can use it to get down into the school premises and the public can get down on the footpath. The people of Kuniyamuthur have demanded that ‘lift’ facility should be provided as the students would find it difficult to get on and off the bridge with their book bags.
