“They kidnapped me, kept me in a closet, withdrew the money from my bank account and broke my jaw” – this is what Georgi Heinz, a Bulgarian with German citizenship, says in an investigation into Veronika Dimitrova’s real estate fraud on Nova TV.

However, he has not been in contact with the man who is in Germany for three months, his relatives say.

He decided to sell his house in the capital’s Borovo district in June 2020. He contacted the realtor Ana Georgieva and her friend Boris. The investigation found that she spent 8 months in Sliven prison and her boyfriend is currently in prison in Kazichene for drunk driving.

Before that, the realtor took pictures of the property, after which she invited him to her house in Boyana and he was kept there for a while.

A month after posting the ad, Georgi calls his first cousin’s husband. The house has been sold, BGN 90,000 goes to Georgi’s account and BGN 200,000 to the account of his relative, who received a power of attorney for the transaction.

However, Georgi suddenly disappears again for about a month. He was forcibly held in the “Manastirski Livadi” quarter, where the realtor Anna allegedly took him to view a new apartment. There her boyfriend hit him across the arms with a crowbar, tied him up with pig tails, drugged him to authorize them to withdraw his money. Then his jaw was also broken.

Georgi goes to “Pirogov” for treatment, and when he leaves, he learns from the bank that his money was withdrawn with the power of attorney he was forced to give to the broker.

According to Ana Georgieva, Georgi owed BGN 100,000 to her friend because they played poker and he lost.

The case is in court proceedings, and the suspicion is that the man may have died in Germany, after having no contact with him for so long.

While doing her investigation, Veronika Dimitrova comes across another property sale, which she suspects is also a fraud. A man from Vladaya – an alcoholic and in debt, donated and sold the property to Julian Dimitrov. The man had already died, but before that he passed through the hands of the broker Ana Georgieva and her friend. They are the link between the two property sales, which are suspected to be frauds, the journalist explains.
