A bullet hit the vehicle of Makhan journalist Ahmed Abu Suvis, who lives in the southern city of Rahat.

It is not clear whether this was a deliberate shooting or a stray shooting. The police started investigating the incident.

Ahmed Abu Suvis, a teacher and photojournalist, told ‘Khan News’ after the event: “It doesn’t matter for what reason the shooting was carried out, accidentally or on purpose. I fear for my family’s life, it’s time to step up the fight against the collection of illegal weapons.”

Abu Suis described the events leading up to the shooting: “I entered the house to watch the World Cup. My wife asked me to take her and then I saw that something was wrong – there were glass and inside the car I saw a bullet. If it’s aimed at me, it’s very serious, and if it’s not, it’s also very serious. The reality in Berhat is bad and dangerous.”

He told News 12: “We went out and I saw that everything was broken and I found a bullet inside. I immediately called the police and they came, said they would send an investigator. If it’s intentional, it’s very serious. It didn’t come from the roof and fall from the sky. It fell where we are sitting in the garden. If we were there, there’s no way it wouldn’t hurt. I am afraid of this dangerous reality, I am ready to live in a settlement and not in this house in Berhat. Hell, this criminality is terrible.”

This news reported: “We take seriously any attempt to threaten or harm journalists and the freedom of the press, and call on the police to quickly investigate the circumstances of the incident.”
