In a statement addressed to the heads of the main, subsidiary and general unions affiliated with the General Federation of Libyan Trade Unions, and workers in troubled and withdrawn companies, the union explained that the gathering is scheduled to take place at three in the afternoon next Wednesday in “Al-Kish” Square in Benghazi.
After the gathering, they will “go to the General Command headquarters, carrying the concerns of the years, and presenting them to (Khalifa Haftar),” according to the text of the statement.
The General Federation of Libyan Trade Unions explained that the goal of the pause is “to clarify the conditions that employees of our companies and institutions are going through, and to find appropriate solutions for them.”
The union said, “It is time for our voice to be heard without any insults, humiliation, begging, beatings, or begging in front of the headquarters and doors of governments or legislative bodies, to obtain our most basic rights.”
It is noteworthy that the Union worked to obtain security approvals from all sides, and to overcome all difficulties.
