A campaign to arrest residency violators has been launched in Kuwait

The Ministry of Interior has activated a campaign to arrest residency violators in Kuwait. 394 violators were arrested during the inspection conducted on Friday. The authorities have warned that action will be taken against those who provide shelter to illegal residents.

Based on the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Talal Al Khalid Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, and the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lt. General Anwar Abdul Latif Al Barjas, the police conducted the inspection focusing on the foreign majority areas of Jalib Al Shuyuk and Mehboola. 328 people from Mehboola and 66 people from Jalib Al Shuyukh were arrested for various violations. The Public Relation and Security Media Section of the Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that security checks will continue in various areas in the coming days.

Harboring and concealing information about residency violators is punishable. The Ministry of Home Affairs requested the citizens and foreign residents of the country to cooperate with the campaign and follow the instructions of the security officials. Those who do not comply with the residency rules, whether individuals or institutions, will be subject to legal action. If found to be an illegal resident, they will be deported for no return. Sponsors who provide shelter or employment to such people will be blocked. Officials also warned that it will be difficult for the sponsor facing action to get a new visa and complete other government transactions.
