Madurai: The jallikattu competition was held in madurai palamet. Chief Minister Stalin presented a car to Tamilarasan from Alankanallur Chinnapatti who tamed the maximum number of 23 bulls. He was seriously injured and admitted to Madurai Rajaji Government Hospital. He died without treatment.

A total of 860 bulls were unchained in the 9 round competition. In this, Tamilarasan from Alankanallur Chinnapatti tamed the maximum number of 23 bulls and stood first. He was gifted a car by Chief Minister Stalin. Palamedu Bose, who tamed 19 bulls and stood 2nd, was presented with a bike on behalf of Minister Udayanidhi Stalin.

The bull of Rengarajapuram Manikarthik, who was selected as the best bull, was awarded a bike and the bull of Dindigul Ramesh, who was selected as the 2nd runner-up, was awarded a cow with a native breed calf. 36 people including police inspector, village assistant and soldiers were injured in the match.

Madurai Collector Anees Shekhar, Corporation Commissioner Simranjeet Singhalon, MLAs Venkatesan, Bhoominathan and Jallikattu administrators participated in the jallikattu event. The world famous Alanganallur jallikattu is happening today. It will be inaugurated by Minister Udayanidhi Stalin. 1,000 bulls and 300 players participate in it. It has been announced that gold coins will be given to all the bulls.
