In the Orenburg region, a criminal case has been opened on the fact of a fatal accident in the Novosergievsky district, as a result of which a person died. This is reported by the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The accident occurred on January 21 at the 399th km of the Orenburg-Samara highway. According to preliminary data from the agency, the 33-year-old driver of a Mercedes-Benz truck lost control and drove into the oncoming lane in the zone of action of the No Departure sign, where he crashed into a Hyundai car.
As a result of the accident, the 56-year-old driver of the passenger car received various injuries. He died on the spot, writes 56orb.ru.
On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of the rules of the road and the operation of vehicles.”
It was reported that the fire and rescue department of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations had to remove the body of the deceased from the crumpled car using a hydraulic rescue tool. Due to an accident, a traffic jam formed on the highway. The traffic was unblocked after the heavy truck was pulled off the road with the help of special equipment.
