A Chilean satellite is now participating in the search for the four minors lost in the Colombian jungle. After 37 days since the disappearance of Lesly Mukutuy, 13 years old; Soleiny Mukutuy, 9; Tien Noriel Ronoque Mukutuy, 4 years old, and baby Cristin Neriman Ronoque Mukutuy, 1 year old in the jungle of Caquetá, the intervention of the Chilean air forces tries to encourage the search with high technology.

According to RedMás, a Colombian media outlet, “FASat Charlie”, a satellite created by the Chilean Air Force, proposes to operate 24 hours a day and send more than 100 images a day of the investigated area. This cooperation between countries was possible thanks to the initiative of the Chilean ambassador in Colombia, María Inés Ruiz, who proposed the idea to the Minister of Defense, Maya Fernández Allende.

The so-called “Operation Hope” now has international support in this search. However, the Colombian government remains committed to finding the four brothers who disappeared in the jungle. After publishing a tweet, the Colombian Air Force expressed: “We do not give up in the search for missing minors in the jungles of Caquetá and Guaviare in #OperaciónEsperanza.” In recent days, the group of Colombian soldiers have marked areas with a “belt of life” to indicate paths that the children could follow to reach the troops.

According to the Colombian military, nearly 600 whistles were placed at strategic points so that minors can send signals to be located. The country’s military forces, together with the support of Chile, continue working to try to find the disappeared.
