A cocaine delivery man disguised as a Deliveroo delivery man arrested in Paris

by time news

Since this summer, the police have been following a very suspicious Deliveroo delivery man. Always on the phone, the delivery man traveled all the streets of Paris without ever picking up meals in restaurants. Nicknamed “Ben the arrow” by his customers, he was actually a cocaine “dealer”, who thought he would go unnoticed with his meal delivery costume.

The young delivery man amassed a fortune at home thanks to cocaine

Nearly 6 kg of cocaine and more than 450,000 euros in cash were found at his Parisian home, as reported on September 7 by the local press. After a long investigation, the 27-year-old, from Saint-Denis, is known by the police for little stories related to narcotics. He was placed in pre-trial detention, after an arrest which took place on August 30 in Paris.

The idea of delivering something other than meals is not so original

In Canada, this is almost normal, because the sale of cannabis has really been uberized there. Uber Eats is indeed associated with the Canadian store Tokyo Smoke to allow orders and delivery of cannabis directly on its application, in the province of Ontario. In the United States, alcohol delivery is also possible on Uber Eats. Last April, its CEO, Dara Khosrowshawi, said that his company would deliver cannabis to the United States as soon as the legislation allowed it.
