Mixing patterns always gives a more interesting appeal to any design. It is well known that floral (natural) patterns go well with geometric ones. So many vases of flowers were added to the tablescape to make it eclectic, and to give it a touch of beauty. Between the classic vases, some more exciting elements were included, such as David statue head candles, and sculptural lemons and piles.
As a personal touch the couple wanted to include potted Hydrangeas in the decor, which they decided to keep and plant in their garden. Which will remain as a beautiful reminder of this special day.
For the ceremony, we decided to keep it more toned down, also because Bianca decided to wear a colorful and bold dress by Temperley London, which we wanted to keep as a focal point for the ceremony.
The wedding arch was made of 200 stems of different shades of blue Hydrangeas, and the ceremony was organized around the pool.
Each guest received a wooden fan, which we decorated with different colored tassels.
And the guests for dinner received round menu cards, with different Italian words.
As the party was only 30 people, family and closest friends, the whole day was very easy. Family and friends were arriving while we were decorating – remember it was in their garden – happily greeting each other, and having a drink or two. It didn’t feel like they were at a formal event but instead it was a close family gathering.
