The Security and Safety Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) inspected the Tripoli International Stadium, in preparation for hosting international matches.
According to what the Libyan Football Association published on its Facebook page, Moroccan Mustafa Slaoui and Senegalese CAF stadium security official Sini Ababakar participated in the inspection visit.
The delegation was briefed on the security and safety procedures at the stadium, in preparation for its approval to play official matches for the national team and Libyan teams in international participation.
The committee was accompanied on the visit by a member of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Football Association, Hashim Al-Shibo, the CAF Security and Safety Supervisor, Engineer Mohamed Gremda, the Football Stadium Inspector, and a number of officials and engineers of the Sports Facilities Company.
Following this visit, the delegation met with the President of the Libyan Football Association, Abdul Hakim Al-Shalmani, who expressed his full cooperation with the CAF delegation, in order to approve the stadium for holding international matches.
It is noteworthy that on the eighth of last March, the Tripoli International Football Stadium was reopened after years of closure and renovation.
