The International Mugham Center hosted a concert “An die Musik” of the works of the Austrian classic Franz Schubert – one of the founders of romanticism in music, the author of more than 600 vocal tracks (based on words by Schiller, Goethe, Heine and others), nine symphonies, a large number of chamber and solo piano works, Day.Az reports.
Franz Schubert composed the composition “To the music” (To Music) in March 1817 for solo voice and piano on text from a poem by his friend Franz von Schober, subsequently dedicating it to the Viennese piano virtuoso Albert Sowinsky. A hymn to the art of music is one of Schubert’s most famous songs. Its greatness and popularity are usually credited to its harmonic simplicity, sweeping melody and strong bass line that effectively underpins the vocal line, but there were no vocals this evening, and the musicians presented a number of famous compositions, including Piano Trio No. 2, D. 929.
Honored Artist performed at the concert program Aleskey Miltykh (cello), Osman Eyublu (violin) and Tofig Shikhiev (piano).
