The Moroccan diplomat began by presenting to an audience, made up of professors and students from the faculty of human sciences of this university, geographical data and historical facts about Morocco, highlighting the place occupied by Morocco on the international geopolitical scene.

Kenza El Ghali then spoke of the reforms initiated by HM King Mohammed VI, who led “a remarkable process of modernization and development, with particular emphasis on improving the status of women”.

In this context, women were encouraged to “play a more active role in decision-making processes and to become more involved in the management of public affairs,” added the Moroccan ambassador, who then debated with the audience on the theme of women in Morocco.

On the sidelines of the conference, Kenza El Ghali offered those responsible for the University library a collection of works published by the Mohammed VI Cultural Center for the Dialogue of Civilizations, headquartered in Coquimbo (460 km north -west of Santiago).

This collection of books will allow university students to learn about the different cultural facets of Morocco and its great diversity.

The University of Santiago was the first Chilean university to sign, in October 2023, with the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, a Memorandum of Understanding on university cooperation and the exchange of students and scholarship holders.
