One of the biggest challenges facing many countries in modern times is the rapid population growth. Such countries seek various means of population control. But on the other hand there are countries that are planning various plans for population growth. But unlike all this there is a country where only 27 people live. The name of this country is Zealand.
Officially known as the Principality of Zealand, this country is located 10 km from England. It is astonishing that only 27 people live in this country. One of the 200 countries in the world, Zealand has an area of only 550 square meters. Although relatively small in terms of population and area, Zealand should not be underestimated. This country has its own army, flag and currency.
The king and queen still govern the country. The small kingdom is ruled today by the Bates family as hereditary royal rulers. The current ruler is British businessman and author Michael Roy Bates, also known as Prince Michael of Zealand. Sealand was founded in 1967 by his father Paddy Roy Bates.
England used this place to defend against German attacks during World War II. However, it has now received national recognition.
