Kollam: A couple died in a car collision at Kottarakkara Kulakada. The deceased have been identified as Bineesh Krishnan and his wife Anju, natives of Kottarakkara Pallikal. Three-year-old daughter Srikutty was admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.
The incident happened on Tuesday morning. The tragic incident happened when Bineesh was returning from his sister’s house. On the way back from Ernakulam, the Innova, which was going from Kottarakkara to Adoor, rammed into the car they were traveling in. The car in which Bineesh and his family were traveling was completely destroyed by the impact of the thunder. Bineesh and Anju were dead by the time the vehicle was towed out. The three-year-old daughter is in critical condition.
There was heavy rain. The initial conclusion of the police is that the tires of the Innova may have skidded in the rain and it may have gone out of control and crashed. The person driving the Innova has been admitted to a private hospital in Kottarakkara. The police have decided to record his detailed statement.
