It is both a garden and a campsite. Along the Burgundy Canal, a couple opens their vast property to campers. The idea delights hikers and cyclists.
A small group of vacationers sleeps at the Marigny-le-Cahouët campsite (Côte-d’Or), in the garden of Bernard and Marie. The campsite located in a garden of half a hectare is reserved only for cyclists and hikers. “I find it absurd to have a plot of 6,000 m2 and mow all day or several times a week and leave it only for me“, confides Bernard Durupt, retired and owner of the campsite.
Exchange and create a link
In the barn are the toilets, the shower and a stocked fridge, everything you need to feel at home. “It’s the nicest thing“says a holidaymaker. Bernard is passionate about archeology, so with 200 customers each year, there are plenty of opportunities to exchange and create links. Vanessa, who arrives from Hamburg, appreciates the green setting away from the noise and motorhomes.
