Solemn funerals and a large crowd of politicians and ordinary people for David Sassoli, the journalist and president of the European Parliament who died the other day at the age of 65. Present at the funeral in Santa Maria degli Angeli are, among others, the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Mario Draghi, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Foreign and Interior Ministers Luigi Di Maio and Luciana Lamorgese.
