Watan Al-Youm: A high-ranking diplomatic official told CNN that members of the League of Arab States will vote on “unfreezing Syria’s membership,” Sunday, during an “extraordinary session,” at a time when Jordan is determined to end the drug trade across its borders by If he resorted to the military option inside Damascus. These meetings will be chaired by the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, whose country currently holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the League of Arab States. In mid-April, a meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries was held in Jeddah, western Saudi Arabia, in which Egypt, Iraq and Jordan also participated, to discuss the issue of Syria’s return to the Arab League.
