A damaged Soyuz spacecraft returns to Earth from the space station

Moscow:

A small asteroid hit the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft on its way back to Earth last December after three astronauts had completed a research mission to the International Space Station. This resulted in minor damage to the spacecraft and a coolant leak.

Russia sent a Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft last month to pick up the 3 soldiers on board.

Meanwhile, it was decided to bring the damaged Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft back to Earth unmanned. Accordingly, the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft, which was separated from the International Space Station, returned safely to Earth yesterday. The spacecraft landed in the Kazakh steppe near the Baikanur launch pad. Can the spacecraft be repaired and reused because of minor damage? The researchers are going to study that.
