Cleared for publication: In a joint operation by the GSS and the Israel Police, a suspect in the assault and injury of an Israeli citizen in Givat Shmuel was arrested on July 5. The suspect, a Palestinian, was transferred to the GSS interrogation. As you may recall, yesterday morning (Tuesday) the police received a report of a man being stabbed near a pedestrian bridge on Road 4 – Givat Shmuel. A 47-year-old resident of Bnei Brak, who was walking on a pedestrian bridge from Bnei Brak in the direction of Givat Shmuel, was attacked and hit in the head by an unknown person. The wounded man is in fair condition and is being treated at Tel Hashomer Hospital. Scans were opened in the area.
