Pini Zahavi, agent of Polish player Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona striker, responded to news of his departure from Barcelona.
Reports stated that Barcelona sporting director Deco will meet with Pini Zahavi tomorrow, Monday, in order to study whether to reduce Leyva’s salary or leave.
Zahavi said, in a statement highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, a Mercato expert, on his account on the “X” network: “It is fake news and nonsense. Lewandowski will remain in Barcelona 100% during the next season.”
Reports stated that Barcelona is upset about Leva’s salary, which will rise to more than 30 million next season.
She explained that Leva agreed to receive only 20 million in his first season to help Barcelona finalize the deal, but his salary rose this season, and will continue to rise next season, then will decrease again in the fourth season.
She added, “Xavi, the Barcelona coach, wants to revolutionize the attack next season, and believes that the Polish star can be dispensed with.”
