The Russian propaganda media “Sputnik Belarus” with reference to the Abkhaz information agency “Apsnypress” wrote that the delegation of Abkhazia on behalf of its “president” Aslan Bzhaniya arrived in the capital of Belarus, where it will take part in interdepartmental consultations.

The Abkhaz delegation includes the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Emergencies, the Ministry of Culture and other officials. It is reported that the members of the delegation have already met in Minsk with the chief of staff of the Council of Ministers of Belarus Konstantin Burak.

Alexander Lukashenko visited self-proclaimed Abkhazia for the first time on September 28, 2022. In February of this year, Aslan Bzhaniya visited Minsk, where he met with Lukashenko. According to the results of that meeting, Bzhania said that Abkhazia and Belarus will develop contacts between the military and special services.

In December 2023, a delegation of the self-proclaimed “government of the DPR” visited Minsk.
