On September 18, a delegation from the Vocational Training Division went on a professional tour of Finland. The delegation was led by the director of the division, Mr. Nitzan Mamrod, and was attended by Mr. Yoav Shor – head of pedagogy, and Clara Schnitzer S. Supervisor.
The purpose of the delegation was to learn and get to know the reform that Finland carried out in vocational education for the benefit of the reform that the vocational training department is undergoing these days, and to draw conclusions, insights and lessons from the visit in order to implement them in the department.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, led by the Director General of the Ministry of Education. This meeting was broadcast to the members of the Vocational Training Division in Israel via Zoom.
There were also meetings with senior representatives from the Ministry of Economy and the Council for Education.
During the visit, the delegation was exposed to unique vocational training centers for teenagers and those 18+, such as the Mercedes garage where vocational training students also work.
The visit was interesting and opened horizons of thinking about the future of the training division.
