A 26-year-old man was sentenced by the Devin District Court to 1 year. and 2 m. imprisonment for threats to kill and arson and failure to comply with a police order under an initial “tough” regime.
P.R. was found guilty of having on March 25, 2024 in Devin, obstructed police officers in the performance of their duties by violently resisting arrest. P.R. was also found guilty of threatening the police officer who detained him for 24 hours under the Law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on the same date and place, with murder and with the arson of property-a house and a car. He has admitted his guilt. On the same day, a report was made on tel. 112 that P.R. rioted and threatened citizens. Police officers arrived at the scene, but as soon as he saw them he ran away. The police caught up with him and arrested P.R. pulling them by their uniforms and pushing them. He threatened one of them with murder and that he would set his house and car on fire, reported the Appellate Prosecutor’s Office – Plovdiv.
P.R. was convicted and served a sentence for attempted murder.
