A ‌26-year-old man was sentenced by the Devin District Court to 1 year. and⁢ 2 m. imprisonment for ⁢threats to​ kill and ⁢arson and failure to comply​ with‍ a police order ⁤under an initial “tough” regime.

P.R. was found guilty of having on March 25, 2024 in Devin, obstructed​ police officers in the performance of their duties by violently resisting arrest.​ P.R. was also found guilty of threatening ​the police officer who ‌detained him for 24 hours under the ‍Law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ⁢on the same date and place, with murder and with the arson of property-a‌ house and a car. ‍He has ‌admitted his guilt. On the same⁤ day, ⁤a report was made on tel. 112⁤ that P.R. rioted ‌and threatened citizens.‌ Police officers arrived at the scene, but as soon as he saw them he ran away. The police caught up with him and arrested⁤ P.R. ⁣pulling them‌ by their‌ uniforms and pushing them. He threatened one⁢ of them with murder and that he would set his house and car on fire, reported the Appellate Prosecutor’s Office – Plovdiv.

P.R.‌ was convicted and served⁣ a sentence for attempted⁣ murder.
