Doha: A digital copy of the Qatar ID can now also be stored in the Matrash e-wallet. The Home Ministry’s mobile app, Matrash 2, allows users to select a specific Qatar ID number from the drop-down list by clicking on the e-wallet menu. Digital copies of Qatar ID may be used in service transactions within the departments of the Ministry of Interior.

The e-wallet is a facility for the people of the country to digitally store their official documents such as Qatar ID, driving license and vehicle registration in Metrosh. The Matrash 2 comes with more than 220 services, including e-wallets. The service is available in Malayalam, English, Arabic, Urdu, Spanish and French.
