Al-Marsad newspaper: Nutrition expert, Dr. Michael Mosley, revealed the foods that we should avoid at breakfast in order to lose weight.

On his website, Dr. Mosley explained that those who want to lose weight should start their day with eggs, as eggs will keep you feeling full for a longer time compared to cereal or toast.

Eggs are a great way to start the day because they are high in protein, which makes them filling. It’s low in calories (about 80 calories per egg) – so you can have two or three for breakfast with other tasty and nutritious vegetables, like mushrooms.

Moreover, eggs contain selenium and vitamins A, B12, B2 and B5.

But he noted that those who want to maintain a healthy weight should be careful about the meat they eat.

He said processed meat should be eaten “in moderation” and “in small quantities”.

Dr. Mosley pointed out that fish can also be adopted in addition to eggs, such as salmon, which is a good source of omega 3 and 6.

Dr. Mosley warned that the worst option for anyone trying to lose weight is the pill. Explaining that it is “laden with sugar.”

Eating sugar at breakfast can lead to a cascade of highs and lows in blood sugar levels.

Dr. Mosley added that toast, which is the breakfast staple for many, should also be avoided.

He also showed that the bread is not actually bad, but it breaks down into sugars. You can reduce its effect on blood sugar levels by eating it with some protein and fat, such as eggs or peanut butter, but try to stay away from jam and chocolate.
