When sisters, relatives or friends are thinking of doing business together, don’t they say ‘just to waste money’. Here, learn about these four ventures and their founders. You can see women brainstorming together, brainstorming and sharing ideas to grow the business. Girls who have achieved success through joint ventures are becoming the pride of Kerala.

As clothes in the same basket

A successful business venture carried by Na Lu in the four corners of the world. The four are busy growing ‘Tassels 3’, an online-only venture for six years, into an outlet called ‘T Fab’ in Ernakulam Panampally Nagar.

“This new shop is a dream we have seen in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hyderabad and Thrissur. I never thought it would come this far. Now our love is a little more solid.” Tassels 3 star Rashmi is excited.

The boutique will start in 2016. When the children grew up, the idea came to use the remaining time effectively. It was a time when there weren’t many online platforms. When I thought of an online set only for designer Sari, I remembered my friend Nimmi. Nimmi was not only my collegemate but also my roommate in the hostel. She has something special. Wear only self-designed clothes. The stubbornness to stand out.

Diversity brings diversity

“If the colors and designs of the clothes are only according to one’s taste and interest, it is difficult to maintain differentiation. After a while, customers get bored. But if it is done as a team, there is no problem.”

Nisha is coming after the start of Tassels 3. That is why three in a name becomes four in a person. Nimmi and Tina are our fashion designers. Tina has a good fashion sense. My wedding dress was designed by Tina. That’s how she was brought along. There are variations because the likes of both are different. Customers also say that,” says Rashmi happily.

“Nisha and I will look after sales, administration and accounts. Me in Dubai, Nimmi in Abu Dhabi, Tina in Hyderabad and Nisha in Thrissur. That is the current standard of living. It is rare to see them together. But we talk everyday. We are close like sisters. If there are differences of opinion, they will be resolved soon.” Nisha confirmed it. Meanwhile, Tina and Nimmi come on the conference call.

“Tassels 3 is our own baby. Looked at with so much love,” Nimmi’s words. “We only do silk and organza materials. Due to the quality of the materials, there are few complaints about discoloration.” Tina became a little serious.

“There are hand workers in Bengaluru and Thrissur. There is also a stitching unit in Thrissur where housewives are trained. Tassels are the frills at the end of the fabric. We are also four tassels tied in the thread of passion.
