A driver hit a pedestrian in Varna and fled after driving her to the entrance of a hospital. The victim’s husband wrote about the case on social networks.
The stunned woman has a hematoma, facial injuries and an arm injury. She was admitted for treatment at “Sveta Marina” hospital in Varna. Her husband called for witnesses and a search for footage from the security cameras from the street and the hospital.
In his post, he describes the incident in the words of eyewitnesses and says that the driver did not even see that he was hitting a person and might not have stopped if it had not been for the shouts of others. At their insistence, the man put the victim in his car, left her at the entrance to the medical facility and fled.
Nina Pileva was returning from her lunch break. “I live nearby. I didn’t see a car leave. I felt the impact and heard screams. People ran to help me. The car was dark blue, but I’m not a driver and I didn’t understand exactly what it was,” said the victim.
The Ministry of the Interior informed NOVA that they received a signal from a doctor on duty and sent teams to the scene, but there are no cameras there. Hospital footage is expected to be provided. The investigation into the case continues.
