A duchess with a weapon? Kate Middleton is in uniform

by time news

The Duchess of Cambridge continues to piously maintain the image of the crowd favorite as she uploads today a post to the Royal Instagram account where she is seen in military uniform and holding a weapon. The post is meant to mark the “Army Day of the Armed Forces”. And the picture is in general from her visit to the Academy for the Training of Soldiers from last November.

During the visit at the time, the 40-year-old mother spent 40 days with the 101st Operation Brigade at Angdon Airport, and saw how new soldiers were being received and trained. As a sign of sympathy, the Duchess wore full equipment when she participated in some of the training exercises.

“Thank you for all the sacrifice”

Alongside the photos posted on social media, Kate shared a touching tribute: “Today on Armed Forces, William and I want to pay tribute to the brave men and women, past and present, who serve in all our Armed Forces, at sea on land and in the air, here in the UK and around the world,” she wrote.

“Last year, I had the honor of spending time with the British Army to see how they train service personnel and new recruits. It was wonderful to see first hand the important and diverse roles the Army does on a day – to – day basis to protect us,” Kate wrote and continued, “Thank you for all Your sacrifice and that of your families to protect us. “
