A family exhibition of the De Mayo family, will be shown at the Shelusham Community Center, Neve Tzedek. For a week, members of the de Mayo family will present their works: the award-winning architect David de Mayo, his wife-artist Tamar de Mayo Zelle, and their home – the designer Sigal de Mayo.
This is the first time that their works are presented as a whole under one roof. David will present rare works and photographs of his projects, in addition to spectacular oil paintings, collages and drawings by the late Tamar de Mayo, and useful printed products by Sigal de Mayo, in her original visual language: bags, wallets, gloves, hats from canvas and art On wood and canvas.

David De Mayo, an award-winning architect, is a total designer, who is responsible for the design and planning of well-known projects in Israel. Among his works: the renovation of the Hebimah National Theater in the 1970s, the design of the Enav Cultural Center, the design of Boeing aircraft for El Al, the interior design of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and Reknati Hall, the design of the Cabinet Ministers’ Offices and Prime Minister Rabin’s Office. Participated in many international competitions and won 17 of them. Among other things, he won first prize in an international competition for the design of a religious center in Sicily, and a prize for a lifetime achievement. Tamar de Mayo, a graduate of Bezalel and Avni, has been involved in art for about 50 years. The exhibition will feature her oil paintings and drawings.
Sigal de Mayo returned to Israel three years ago, after 22 years in New York. In the late 1990s, after studying art and design at Wizo Haifa, she moved to New York, where she began to create useful products with photographic prints that she took and digitally processed. At the exhibition you will present printed useful products: imitation leather bags, wallets and leather gloves, hats from jeans and art on wood and canvas. Siegel designed exclusive designs for companies such as: Empire State Building, Ferrari cars, Coca-Cola, VH1, Cirque Du Soleil and more and her products were presented at selected art fairs.
Creative workshops of music, movement and painting will also be held at the exhibition.
