10 Catalan pig farms have been awarded in the 29th edition of the Porc d’Or Awards, which were delivered this Friday night in Toledo, in Castilla – La Mancha. Catalonia has closed the podium of territories with the most awards with the third position, surpassed only by Galicia, with 12 statuettes, and by Aragon, with 11. In total, 48 prizes have been distributed among 42 holdings from 7 Autonomous Communities. Within the Catalan awards, the prizes have gone to 8 livestock farms in the Osona region, in the demarcation of Barcelona, ​​next to‘1 of Alt Empordà, in the demarcation of Girona, and 1 of Solsonès, in that of Lleida. More than 800 professionals from the sector have attended the event.

The Mas Rosell farm in Santa Maria de Besora (Osona) has won silver in the First Category of Numerical Productivity. La Cabana Negra, from Solsona, belonging to the Gepork Group, has been awarded the bronze in the Second Category of Parts Tax.

In the Second Longevity Category, Granja Masnou de l’Esquirol (Osona) has won gold, and Granja La Farigoleta de Calldetenes (Osona) has been awarded bronze.

The third Longevity Category has been won by Catalan farms. The gold has taken it away the Pontós Farm, in Pontós (Alt Empordà), the silver the Castellets Farm, from Taradell (Osona) and the Bronze the Espadaler Farm, from Sant Quirze de Besora (Osona). The last two belong to the Pinsos Sant Antoni group.

In the Fourth Category of Numerical Productivity, the Grau Sant Martí Feeds farm, in Sant Martí de Centelles (Osona), has won the bronze. And in the same category of Share Fee, the Solallong Farm in Sora (Osona), took the silver. This same farm has also achieved gold in the Fourth Longevity Category.
