A farm owner in the Dorot Farm area near Maale Shomron shot and neutralized a Palestinian terrorist who came to the place armed with a knife. There were no casualties in the incident.
According to evidence from the scene, the terrorist chanted ‘Allah Akbar’. Several improvised explosive devices were found in the terrorist’s possession.
In the meantime, the Home Front Command allowed the residents of Beitar Illit to leave their homes this morning, after a whole night of alarms, in which they were called to shut themselves down due to searches for a terrorist who planted an explosive device on a bus in the city.
Last night, passengers noticed the improvised luggage inside a bag that gave off smoke and called the police. Eyewitnesses said that the terrorist who placed the bag got off the bus in Beitar Illit.
The explosive device was discovered a few hours after the shooting attack in Dizengoff in Tel Aviv, in which five Israelis were injured. One of the injured is hospitalized in critical condition and his life is still in danger. Another injured person is hospitalized in a very serious condition and a third is in a minor condition.
The terrorist is Ma’tez Khawaja, 23 years old from Naalin, a Hamas member who has served a prison sentence in Israel twice. His father was arrested tonight by the security forces.
The MDA organization calls on the public to come and donate blood at a special blood drive, which will take place today at the Dizengoff Center in Tel Aviv from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and at approximately 20 other blood donation centers throughout the country, the address of which can be found on the organization’s website.
