An 11-year-old ultra-Orthodox boy was injured on Saturday night after falling from a height on Barkat Street on Mount Shmuel near Jerusalem.

Rescuers who were called to the scene provided the child with first aid and he was rushed to the hospital in moderate to severe condition.

Danny Shmueli, a paramedic from the Rescue Union, said at the end of the Sabbath:

Avi Jian, Ihud Hatzalah ambulance driver: “I gave him first aid with the help of other medics who were in the nearby synagogue and then evacuated him in Ihud Hatzalah’s ambulance to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, in moderate to severe condition.”

The drivers who arrived at the scene provided primary care to a girl who suffered a head injury, and she was evacuated in fair condition to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.

The driver Issachar Inhorn: “When I arrived at the scene with an MDA ambulance in my possession, I found a 5-year-old girl suffering from a head injury after being hit by a vehicle. “Together with Shabbat Braverman, we provided her with primary medical care, including fixation and bandages, and she was evacuated in fair condition for further medical treatment in the trauma room at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.”
