The Azerbaijan State Children’s Philharmonic presented a festive concert “Naxışlı Novruz” dedicated to Novruz on the stage of the State Theater for Young Spectators, Day.Az reports.
The concert was dedicated to the arrival of the Novruz holiday, which reflects the unique traditions of the Azerbaijani people. The program was full of interesting, colorful dances, songs, theatrical scenes with fairy-tale and folk characters of Kosa and Kechal, Bahar Gizy and Goychek Fatma, Jirtdan and others, the traditions and customs of Novruz were presented. The program included Azerbaijani composer and folk songs and dances.
The children’s philharmonic group – Musiqili Ücs Teatrı (Musical Children’s Theatre), Sədəf ensemble of folk instruments, Şams children’s choir, Güləbətin vocal ensemble and other groups performed.
The program ended with all participants appearing on stage to the music of the ancient dance “Yalli”, reflecting the strength and unity of the people, their struggle for freedom and independence.
