A fire at a commercial complex where a mental health center operates has left 27 people burnt to death

At least 27 people have been killed in a fire at a commercial complex in the Japanese city of Osaka. The fire broke out on the fourth floor of an eight-story building in Kitashinchi, where a mental health center was located, fire officials said. Authorities said 23 people were hospitalized.

In Japan, firefighters say 27 of the 28 people injured in the blaze have died, but in Japan, a doctor has to officially confirm the death. The cause of the fire is not clear. Police said an investigation has been launched.
