A football player almost broke a record in the 110m hurdles

by time news

Athletes have above-average athletic abilities, and are sometimes talented in a number of disciplines. This is what happened in the case of Devion Allen from Philadelphia Eagles, who almost broke the world record in the 110m hurdles today (Monday).

Allen set a time of 12.84 seconds, a distance of 4 hundredths of a second from the world record originally set in 2012. He signed with the Eagles this summer as Wade Receiver and will join the team just before the start of the season.

Allen began his career as a sprinter, winning the U.S. 110m hurdles three times and even reaching the 2016 Olympic finals (fifth place) and 2020 (fourth place). He is now making the move to football after playing successfully at Oregon College.
