Full electronic driving

REE has developed an electric vehicle concept in which the suspension, engine, steering system, brakes, sensors, temperature control systems and all electronic systems are integrated in the four “corners” of the vehicle, between the chassis and the wheel and inside the wheel. The body itself is flat and available for design according to the requirements of each model. In this approach, the center of gravity of the vehicle is lower than in standard electric vehicles, and therefore the vehicle is more stable. The company calls the Wu x by wire architecture, because all vehicle systems, located in the four corners, are controlled by the driver completely electronically and not mechanically.

Based on this technology, the company has so far developed a number of platforms for end-applications such as urban shipments, commuter vehicles, autonomous taxis and intercity trucks. Earlier this year, REE unveiled a dedicated platform for shipping fleet companies. The P7 [בתמונה למעלה], Which according to the company was built according to the requirements and exact specifications of one of the largest car companies in the world. The flat platform provides 35% more interior space compared to similar commercial vehicles.
