A four-year-old boy died of asphyxiation after getting into a clothes dryer while playing hide and seek at his aunt’s house in Mallorca, Spain.
The dramatic event occurred this Thursday in the town of Magaluf, when the woman who was in charge of the little boy fell asleep and he took the opportunity to go to the terrace alone, according to local media Última Hora.

With the intention of hiding from his aunt, as a game, the boy went into the dryer but everything ended in the worst way: the door closed and he was trapped inside without being able to open it. Minutes later his grandmother and his aunt found him and, noticing that he had no vital signs, they called the emergency room.

Several ambulances, the Civil Guard and the local Calvia Police immediately went to the scene. The staff tried to revive the baby but it was too late, and they found that he was dead.
The forensic experts announced that the child had injuries to the knuckles of his hands, a sign that indicates that he hit the door to try to get out.

Finally the body was transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Palma where an autopsy will be performed in the next few hours.
