The third eternal derby of the final playoff of the men’s volleyball championship will be played in front of a full house.
The capacity of the “Levski Sofia” hall of 1,700 seats looks like it will be filled for the clash with CSKA. The “Blues” lead with 2:0 victories in the series and if they succeed tonight, they will become champions of Bulgaria after a break of 15 years.
The match kicked off at 7 p.m., and by Thursday evening, nearly 1,000 tickets had been sold online. According to the agreement between the two clubs, agitations of the visiting team are not allowed.
A similar model was recently proposed by the owner of Levski football club Nasko Sirakov. However, they refused from CSKA. Every football derby carries the potential danger of people getting hurt, as the police can never prevent the introduction of rockets and any other arsenal by the ultras of both teams.
“Levski” volleyball called on their fans to get tickets for the derby online in advance, so that there are no crowds at the entrance to the hall, where passes will be sold on the spot.
If a 4th and 5th final match is needed, they will be on May 1 and 3. The hosts will be CSKA and Levski, respectively. The Blues have an advantage in this regard due to the better ranking in the regular season.
In a special address, one of the presidents of “Levski” – the legend Vladimir Nikolov, called on the “blue” supporters to respect CSKA.
