Just a few months ago, a man broke into a football game in the Premier League and handcuffed himself to the goalpost. Tonight (Friday) a similar incident occurred in the Roland Garros semi-final between Caspar Rod and Marin Cilic, when a young girl named Eliji (22) broke into the tennis court in France and tied herself to the net with a handcuff around her neck.
The girl wanted to send a protest message when she wore a shirt with the caption: “We have 1,028 days left”, similar to the young guy who broke into Everton’s game, who belonged to an organization that deals with environmental protection. The girl’s break into the field caused a delay of about 15 minutes in the match.
It turns out that the two semi-finals were exceptional, with Alexander Zebrav suffering a serious injury, which forced him to get off the field in a wheelchair in the meeting against Rafael Nadal, when the later semi-final was not without a significant event with the girl breaking into the field and protesting.
