The girl, who was ruled dead due to abdominal pain, woke up during her own funeral. Camila Roxana MartÃnez Mendoza, a girl from Mexico, opened her eyes during her own funeral. 12 hours before that, the doctors pronounced the child dead on Wednesday, August 17.
The child was immediately taken to the same hospital where he was shown earlier. But, unfortunately, the child later died in the same hospital. The incident took place at the Salinas de Hildalgo Community Hospital in the state of San Luis Potosà in central Mexico.
Mary Jane Mendoza, Camila’s mother, said the three-year-old was taken to a pediatrician earlier due to fever, vomiting and abdominal pain. Here the child was diagnosed with dehydration and given paracetamol. Hours later, when Camila’s parents noticed that her condition had worsened, they rushed her back to the hospital. She was pronounced dead there between 9pm and 10pm.
During the funeral, someone noticed that the coffin was filled with steam. But when it was pointed out, people dismissed it as just a feeling. However, the baby’s grandmother said that the baby’s eyes were moving. Immediately after opening the coffin and checking the baby’s pulse, she was convinced that she was not dead.
So she was taken back to the same hospital where she was declared brought dead. After some time the child actually died. In any case, the General State Attorney, Jose Luis Ruiz, says that the unfortunate incident is being investigated.
